OOTN:

I'm going to make this a quick one, I wanted to put together a look with my black leather vest that I never wear because it can look boxy and a bit too masculine for me. Pairing it with a body con dress and tights makes it a bit more sexy- although these heels….

OUCHHHH!!!!!

Lol these are Cortney's and OMg they are so uncomfortable I could barely walk in them but they make the outfit a bit more classic looking. No bueno and I will not be dropping major change on any Louboutins anytime soon…. but I must admit, in photos that red bottom is killer ;)

Say no to Shopping… Lets get real...

Recently I saw the movie Don Jon, and it actually had a relevant message in it. Basically without giving much away it talks about the lack of social interaction and connection we have with those around us. Our society's norm has become clicking of computer keys and mouses instead of meaningful in-person conversations. It actually made me think, and the more I thought about this the more irritated I became. I work from home everyday and if I really wanted to- I wouldn't have to see or talk to anyone at all. EVER. Its crazy to me how much technology has progressed within the last 20 years. Seeing what teenagers have now as far as their iPhones, Facebook, instagram, etc is insane. Even though its only been 6 years since graduating from high school, no one really had facebooks back then. We had text messaging and myspace but having person-to-person interactions were normal. Dating meant seeing someone in person, asking them out and then going out with them. The mall was where you'd meet boys- not Instagram.

This lack of personal interaction seems to have spread everywhere…and I'm starting to notice it more and more as time goes on. From what I see, people would rather hit on people online then in person. I understand that behind a computer screen its much less daunting to ask a girl for her number without being rejected to your face but… c'mon people!

Where do we draw the line between convenience and hiding?

Life isn't all about clothing, what your lifestyle "looks" like, and what kind of swag you have when you walk around. I've been wanting to write about this crap for a while, so onto my Don Jon inspired outfits. lol just kidding. I think getting this conversation going is important, especially to those who live a lot of their lives online.

Have a great day!

Apparently Black is our color... Thirsty Thursdays!

Cortney must be rubbing off on me because I had to put together an all black very simple look. I'm still loving the crop tops but I have to somehow transition them into fall for cooler weather. This crop is very subtle but you can still see a hint of skin.

For some reason it took me forever to find a pair of black high waisted skinny jeans that didn't feel like jeggings. I found these from Levi's and they were under $100!

All black makes me feel like I belong in NYC!

Enjoy!

We like to party!!!

I bought this ombre fringe crop top at the beginning of summer knowing that I wanted to pair it with my disco pants once it got cool again. You can't be wearing disco pants all willy nilly during summer time they are like wearing a scuba suit and get sooo hot!

I absolutely love disco pants and think that they are an essential item in every girls closet, from a size 0-whatever they suck you in and give you a great curvy shape.

It really really doesn't feel like the middle of October in LA right now but I have been living in motorcycle jackets at night and again...you must have at least one! This jacket is from H&M, although I would die and go to heaven over the Vince one I've been drooling over (posted below). You can't go wrong with a motorcycle leather jacket they make every outfit look put together and edgy.

Light, Leather, and Steel

I attended the WESTEDGE Design Fair in Santa Monica at the Barker Hangar.  So much design inspiration - makes me want to become an interior designer!  Or just take notes of the pieces I want in my dream home!

1. Silver bangle from Forever 21
2. Disco ball bracelet - DIY
3. Faux snake skin wrap bracelet by C Wonder
